Small But Terrible

Wednesday, July 29, 2009
I'm not really sure what this machine is called. Peregrine said it's a Crane Lift but he isn't sure about the name either. They use this machine at work and when he showed it to me, I was really in awe. To be honest, it's my first time to have seen such. It looks like a toy right but when it's used, it can hold and lift thousands of pounds. I think the phrase, "small but terrible" could best apply to it. What do you think?

the "toy"...

and there's Peregrine's boss driving the toy...

Flowers for Me

Saturday, July 25, 2009
Aren't they lovely? Well, i may have not got hold of them for real but the thought that it was his flowers and he sent it to my email while thinking of me is sweet enough for me. Hee hee. Does it sound cheesy? Well, it feels good to be cheesy sometimes. LOL. So, there...enjoy the beauty of the flowers. *wink*

More Friendly Little Creatures, or What I Call Critters

Monday, July 20, 2009

The other day Lindsay posted some pics of one of my squirrel buddies, one of the many who live on my property. And just the other day, I was fortunate to have a photo op of some rabbits who just so happened to be hopping around outside my workplace. I do have rabbits here at my home, but they come out very early and I seldom see them, so I couldn't resist the chance I had to click on these two bunnies.

First is the big boy, a big honey bunny. And secondly, is the li'l honey bunny......ain't she cute? The big boy is a fine looking critter, big and strong. And I'm certain that he takes care of his li'l honey, as all good big boys should do because our honeys are special and important and depend on us to protect and provide for them. Such is the way it is, not only in nature, but out here in the real world. And maybe us humans could take a few lessons from all those critters out there, for if we did, it might be a much more wonderful and better world to live in. Just a thought.

But I do have many more critters who live around here, and hopefully at some time in the future they'll give me the opportunity to capture them in their indigenous setting. I'll keep my eyes open and camera ready and share it here. Until then, all go well and be safe and keep on smiling.....(",)

Friendly Little Creatures

Wednesday, July 15, 2009
A picture taken by my new bogging partner Peregrine. Squirrels roam around his place from time to time. I haven't seen a real squirrel in my whole life though I do believe that they are present in the zoo. Well, we don't have a zoo here in our small city, in the big city, yes. But I'll get to see real squirrels someday, I know. (",)

There's the cutie little creature searching for food perhaps.

And up in the tree he went. Howdy there? LOL.

So You've Met...

Saturday, July 11, 2009
.......with my partner, Peregrine. How was the meeting? LOL. Glad he finally introduced himself. He's been through a lot this week but despite that, he managed to write a post here and I truly appreciate him spending his time writing his introductory post. It's only his first and there's more to come. And when I said "watch out for him..." you should really watch out how good my partner is when it comes to his writing. He's born a writer, I believe so, and a poet at that too. You will discover those things eventually if you will follow this blog. So, keep on visiting. See you around!

A New Day, and a New Road To Travel

Thursday, July 9, 2009
Hi y'all! After having been properly introduced, I will now take my first baby steps into the blogosphere, a world I was totally unaware of until I had the great fortune of meeting Lindsay. And I want to thank her for inviting me to join her in this endeavor, and to travel with her down the thousands of possible roads that lie ahead. I have no doubt that this will truly be an adventure. What's so great about this is that not only will Lindsay and I share and experience the adventures of an unknown odyssey, but we will be sharing it with the world via this wonder of the internet. But baby steps? Actually this is more a leap of faith on my part, for I have no idea what I'm doing or getting myself into. But from what I've already seen of Lindsay's work, I'm certain that I will be tutored very well and taught all the intricacies of this genere. I did find it interesting, though, her final comment in introducing me here: "So watch out for him....." That's almost as if she's warning you. I'm totally harmless; honestly, I really am.....(",) But, she may have been subconsciously warning you of the fact that I can really run my mouth and go on-and-on-and-on, never knowing when to shut up. And with that being said, I guess it's time for me to shut up now and not make this first post a novel. But hello World!!!!! It's nice to be here and I look forward to sharing my stories with y'all. See ya next time!

Two of Us

You probably have noticed the contributors' category in my side bar and that being said, i guess you already have an idea that this blog won't be authored by me and myself alone but with another person whom i invited to share this blog with me. Well, to tell you with all honesty, when i decided to update this blog yesterday, sharing this blog with him was already on my mind and that's why i came up with a new blog title... "A Thousand Country Roads." I'll tell you more about why i chose the title soon.

For now, what i really wanted to do is introduce to you my co-author, Peregrine. Hope you'll look forward to his posts just as much as i do. I admire his wit when it comes to his writings and i do believe you'll admire him too the way i do. So watch out for him and be truly entertained. (",)

Here I Am...

Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Back after months of hibernating. LOL. Glad to have finally updated my blogs today and changed everything in here too - title, layout and hopefully soon, i'll get a domain name for this. It's in my plan and i hope i'll have it materialized anytime soon.

Do you like the new look? I just love the header. Fell in love with it the first time i saw it. I'm a nature lover and i really fancy those colorful trees. Lovely, isn't it? Oh well, hope to have this blog updated regularly and so are my other blogs. (",)
