It Was Just A Dream Once

Thursday, August 27, 2009
And now, that dream has come into reality. Everything just happened so fast though i can say that when i look back, it seemed like we've known each other for years. And remember my previous post about butterflies? Surprisingly, i never had them on the very first day we've set eyes on each other. It was just filled with excitement, a little nervousness, but honestly, no butterflies.

Today is the sixth day that we're going to spend together. The previous days have been filled with laughter, fun, excitement, superb food since we've been to almost every restaurant in the city, and good conversation. And i know there will still be a lot to share. We still have more time for it since he'll be here ten more days. Ten more days to enjoy every single day of being together and knowing each other more. Rainbows and Dreams

Thursday, August 20, 2009
I just read Lindsay's post about butterflies. In my experiences of life, where there have been butterflies there have always been rainbows and dreams lurking as well. Being of the Scot-Irish descent that I am, where there's a rainbow, there's a pot of gold lying at the end of it. But pot of gold may just be in the metaphorical sense, for the gold it may contain might just be answered dreams that will enrichen one's life.

And so it is, just as Lindsay, I too am counting down the days on the fingers of one hand until I meet someone for the very first time. I can hardly wait, though I do have butterflies of my own. But I truly believe in the luck of the Irish and feel that when I reach the end of this journey and discover the end of the rainbow, the pot of gold that I find will contain the answers to all my dreams. And who knows? Instead of finding a leprechaun guarding that pot o' gold, there might instead be an Anghel waiting there for me, ready to share the wealth of dreams and happiness.........(",)

Butterflies

I'm not talking about the beautiful insects but the feeling you got once you're anxious of something. And i am anxious but excited at the same time too. And yes, i'm starting to have butterflies in my stomach from time to time now. You want to know why? Hmmm... Should i tell? LOL.

Okay, let me give you a hint. Someone's coming to meet me and it'll be our first ever meeting. So having butterflies is given, i think. Hee hee. And guess what? There's only a few days left. I can already count the remaining days with my fingers in one hand. Oh boy! LOL.

I wonder how we both will react on our first meeting. This will be my first to meet a human being (not an alien, okay? LOL) that i've just met online. It's not his first so i think he won't be as nervous as me. Hee hee. Just kidding. I'm pretty sure we'll both be nervous but things will be okay, i do believe so. *wink*

Don't worry, i'm going to share about the first meeting here. So, watch out. (",)

Indecisive

Yes, i can be one at times and it goes to just about anything including the template of this blog. My mind was actually settled on the previous template but the problem is, there is something wrong with its header - sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not and i simply don't like it. For once, i thought my slow connection has something to do with it but Gyrene sees the same so once and for all, it needs to be changed.

So, today, i searched for new templates again and saw this one. The header isn't the perfect one for our title but it's so far the best that i found on this website recommended by a friend. The same website where i got the previous template. Maybe you know some websites who offer free nice templates, please let me know. I'll truly appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance. (",)

For now, we'll settle for this one until i see the one that would fit our blog title best.

Dusty Roads

Saturday, August 15, 2009
There are times that life can truly be a challenge. We all face issues on a daily basis, be it at work, of a personal nature, or just life in general. And this has been such a week, not only for me, but for my blogger buddy Lindsay, as well. We've both had a close family member sick and in the hospital. That creates much worry and stress, which in itself can lead to you yourself becoming ill.

But such is life; we are given many tests; some easy; some not-so easy. And these aren't the kind of tests you recieve a grade on when you complete them. Sometimes the only reward is the self-satisfaction of knowing that you did the right thing. Fortunately for Lindsay and I both, our loved ones are back home, and life goes on and gets back to normal.

I consider such trials and tribulations as dusty roads, for no journey is without it's pitfalls and rough going, especially this odyssey we call life. For those of us who persevere and carry on and get the job done, I really believe there are rewards awaiting us, and I don't speak of financial rewards. There are things far greater than money, such as peace of mind and happiness, and as long as one keeps the faith and believes, good things will come.

Yepper, I am an eternal optomist who not only believes that good things soon await me, but who also believes in the beauty and magic of life, and I patiently await the time that I will be allowed to experience the mystery, beauty, and magic of all these wonderful gifts.

Ruthless Individuals

Friday, August 7, 2009
What would you feel when you found out that somebody or some individuals messed up with your property? That's what Peregrine experienced and look at what the culprit or culprits did to his mailbox and to his neighbors' mailboxes. Such a ruthless thing to do, right? For the record, Peregrine knows no one who is angry with him. For certain, he's a good neighbor and a contributor to his local community. He was just a victim of those individuals who can't think of anything to do other than destroy someone's else's property. I wonder what's on their mind? Peregrine has no idea who did it, but it's not a new event in his life; he told me that this has happened several times over the years, usually being done by bored teenagers driving down the road with a baseball bat, hanging out of the car and smashing boxes as they drive by. This, however, was a more concerted effort, and no other boxes up or down the road were damaged. Suspicious, indeed. But the incident was reported to the proper authorities and I do wonder if they'll ever catch the culprit(s).
