I woke up feeling a little sluggish today. It was seven o’clock when I got up out of bed and the sun was already up but I still had this feeling of wanting to sleep more. I went to bed a little later than usual last night because my son still wanted to play his favorite computer games. I let him since today is Saturday and he had no classes. And here’s what I got for being so nice: he got to sleep in while I have important duties and tasks to attend to today. Maybe I'll get to grab some catnaps later in either of our metal beds – mom’s metal bed or our metal bed; whichever one is closest when the urge to crash hits me.
I do wonder, though, if I will still feel sluggish and sleepy after completing my chores? For sure they will get me energized, up and rumbling and good-to-go. They are not tasks that need physical activity but ones that require mental acumen, calculating and reasoning. That alone should make me wide awake for the rest of the day. Yes, they most likely will keep me wide awake for the day but I'll be exhausted by the evening. No problem; I'll definitely be ready to hit the rack for a good night's sleep tonight. Sorry, son, there will be no extra gaming this eve', so when I say it's time for bed, away we go.
